A Touch of the Blues

Time to reveal the final addition
to our dining room.

Whenever I start to design a room,
I like to start with neutral colors like
whites, creams, beige and
greige (a color between beige and gray).
The reason I like to work with
these colors as a base color is because
they co-ordinate with every color.
Once you have your biggest pieces,
or areas in your base colors
it's easy to add little
touches of other colors into the mix.

Our dining room had a lot of neutral colors
and different shades of wood going on.
It needed a little touch of color to balance
and pull the room together.
To accomplish it I chose this vintage look rug
with touches of cream, brown, beige and blues.
These are all the colors that are scattered around our dining room.
Even though the chair legs and table are different colors
this rug blends them together to give them a cohesive look.
This rug is super soft on the feet too.

A little color goes a long way.

That's it for this week.
Check back next week to see the final reveal of this room.

Until Next Time,
Veronica
